Resources

At the Promise Zone Research Connection (PZRC), we believe that equitable, community-centered research can transform local neighborhoods and empower residents.

Below is a curated selection of documents, guides, and model organizations that inform our work and support our mission of fostering collaboration and community engagement in research.

PZRC and CRRB in Brief

For an overview of the PZRC and the Community Research Review Board (CRRB), take a look at our brochure. It highlights our mission to advocate for research that protects, respects, and benefits Promise Zone residents and educate them on their rights to prevent research abuse.

The CRRB, a community partnership between residents, stakeholders, and research institutions, reviews research proposals to ensure that they align with the community’s best interests, while fostering communication and accountability. The CRRB also ensures that research results are shared with the community, establishing long-term partnerships for future research
