The Promise Zone Research Connection was one of the featured breakout sessions offered at the West Philadelphia Promise Zone (WPPZ) Committee-Wide Meeting, which was held on Friday, June 23, 2023, at the University City Science Center. PZRC members Rita Nelson (Secretary) and Hyden Terrell (CRRB Facilitator) provided attendees with a short history of the PZRC and its goal to launch a Community Research Review Board. The presentation opened up a broader discussion about the research needs in the community, including the problems caused by lack of access to grocery stores and healthy food.
